1998.5 Ford Contour SVT (#4555 of 6535)

 

 

CTA Motorsports 1998.5 Ford Contour SVT was purchased in June 2001.The build date of this SVT was February 1998. The exterior colour is Silver Frost and the interior colour is Midnight Blue. This car is unique in that it has factory traction control, which was not listed on the options list, as well as the earlier 98 body side moldings.

 

Over the many years of previous ownership, our former SVT had many modifications installed. Our SVT had many early production aftermarket parts installed, provided from many manufacturers whom supported this platform. CTA Motorsports SVT was also used to develop some of its own performance parts for this platform, including intake kits and exhaust systems.

  • Installed 255lph Walbro Fuel Pump, Fuel Pressure Gauge and Regulator. (January 2014)

  • Reinstalled Mirko MAF adapter and 5" S&B Powerstack filter. (September 2008)

  • Installed seal to carbon fibre air filter heat shield. (September 5, 2006)

  • Installed custom carbon fibre air filter heat shield (Technologic Design Corporation). (December 1, 2004)

  • Installed Buckshot Motorsports Vortech aftercooler kit. (August 26, 2004)

  • Installed stainless steel resonators, rear stainless mufflers removed. (July 24, 2004)

  • Installed REV Model X light weight 17"x7" wheels and Toyo Proxes T1S tires. (September 6, 03)

  • Installed AFE velocity stack air filter 6"L x 5"B x 3"T x 3.5"F (September 5, 03)

  • Installed optimized and powder coated SVT throttle body. (August 12, 03)

  • Installed Buckshot Motorsports supercharger bypass valve (August 12, 03)

  • Reinstalled Vortech K&N filter. (August 11, 03) (Replaced with AFE filter September 5, 2003)

  • Installed Hose Techniques high pressure silicone couplings. (June 7, 2003)

  • Installed Injen heat shield with S&B Powerstack filter (removed for testing) (June 7, 2003)

  • Centerline light weight Impulse 445 17"x7" wheels and Toyo Proxes T1S tires. (May 27, 03) (Wheels replaced September 6, 2003)

  • TCE/Wilwood custom big brake kit. (13.0" fronts, 11.75" rears) (May 10, 2003) (Supplied by TCE Performance Products)

  • Installed new and improved MSDS Y-pipe with Jet Hot Coating and heavier 14 gauge steel. (April 29, 03)
